Owen Priest of Texas brought his beautiful 2010 Chevy Camaro out this weekend only to problems with the rear of the car in qualifying. Priest and crew were up late into the night replacing an axle that they believe to be the problem. While they stated that there were no major problems they got the right parts and fixed what they could. Owen is one of the races out here running the LS7 motors and has already been as quick as 10.92 in the quarter.
Last years champion Steven Fereday only manage to go 8.02 today with his brand knew combination. Steven’s Twin Turbo Charged beast was lacking 2 cylinders throughout the day and is try to fixed the problem by Sunday’s first round of eliminations. The team is determined to reach the low 7 second zone at over 200 mph by the end of the weekend.
LSX Shootout new comer and All Motor Racer David Lezear made the drive from Florida this weekend to come test one of their customers engines. David claimed that his weekend has been going very well and the team has only had to do routine maintenance. David had also ran his personal best in the second round of qualifying with a 9.41 at 144 mph.
