I see one more giant mistake. You guys used a cross drilled crankshaft. A cross drilled crank won't oil correctly above 7000 rpm. I have a friend who has broken his rat motor twice because of oiling problems. He has been trying to use a "cross drilled" crank in the engine. Go to Reher-Morrison and read why it is won't live. Centrifugal force forces the oil back into the cross drilled mains and starves the bearings at rpms above 7000.
