Best Present Ever: Kid Gets Camaro For 16th Birthday
My 16th birthday present was a job. As a janitor. All they money I saved that summer wound up going towards my first real car that wasn’t a hand-me-down mini-van. Suffice to say, some birthday presents are better than others. Even though a car is a bit of a cliché (especially when adorned with an oversized bow), it is still an awesome present for pretty much anybody. Especially when that car is a Camaro.
This YouTube video shows one lucky kid whose parents went through a rather elaborate setup to give their son a 2010 Camaro for his 16th birthday.
As far as birthday setups go, this one was very intricate, involving hidden cameras, character actors, and a surprise party. A secret video camera in the mother’s BMW films the kid discussing how awesome the new Camaro (the kid has good taste). The target is then brought to a mall where a couple has him videotape them standing next to a yellow Camaro with black racing stripes, not unlike Bumblebee from Transformers.
Afterwards when he comes back home, he finds family and friends, and the new Camaro standing in his driveway. He doesn’t even believe it is his at first. Best of all, unlike some 16th birthday videos we’ve seen, rather than act like a spoiled brat, the kid seems genuinely thankful. We just hope papa puts some time behind the wheel with his son and teaches him to respect the power under the hood. That said, what an awesome present and awesome parents.
