The Cadillac CTS by itself is a great car. In some ways, it is even exceptional, especially when the CTS-V comes to play. With a supercharged 556 horsepower LSA engine, rear-wheel drive,
Recaro seats, and lots of luxury, it is a true American contender for high-end sports sedans. The CTS gets even better this year with a coupe and wagon version, both of which are getting supercharged V models as well.

Of course, so is the CTS wagon, and GM’s engineers didn’t mess too much with a winning formula. The most noticeable difference from the standard wagon is the grill. It shares the CTS-V’s grill, which is meaner and more intricate than the standard wagon. With the looks mostly the same, the engine is likely to stay the same as well. The LSA engine is essentially a detuned LS9 engine, with a smaller blower.
Of course that huge hatch is likely to add some weight as well. It would be an interesting comparison to run the sedan, coupe, and wagon CTS-V versions against each other. The coupe looks bulky, as is the sedan. But the wagon might make the most sense of them all. Seating for four, lots of cargo room, and definitely a future collectible. Sounds like a winner!
