Fesler's 1969 "Black Knight" Camaro

Chris and Carrie Fesler of Fesler Built brought another collection of classic muscle to the 2009 SEMA trade show. One of the Jewels in the 2009 Fesler Built collection is a custom built 1969 Camaro with the attention and modification that we have come to expect from this car builder. Starting with a pretty stock white bodied with black top '69, Fesler stripped the car down to bare metal. With the car stripped and all components removed, the car builder repaired any thing that was not to their standards like rust damage and poor robotic welds from the factory.



Once that was complete, the crew began rebuilding the machine with their personal touch. Replacing the roof and modifying some of the body lines for a bit of Fesler Expression, the Black Knight took shape.



Highlights of the Black Knight Camaro:

• Powered by a brand new supercharged LS9 from a ZR1
  
• The carburetor is a Pro-Systems road race-style carb.
  
• Carbon Fiber Valve Covers.
  
• MSD coil packs.
  
• The all-aluminum engines are spec'd at 400 horsepower and ft/lbs of torque out of the box.
  
• ATS Tri-Y stainless steel headers, a road race oil pan, and engine mounts.
  
• ATS T-56 six speed transmission with internals from a Dodge Viper for added strength.
  
• The clutch is a twin disc from McLeod, as is the blowproof bellhousing.
  
• Most of the Hinges, Hardware and lighting are Fesler's own 1st Gen Camaro parts.
