When it comes to the movie business, no press is bad press. Rumors swirled last week when an eagle-eyed Camaro fan spotted a half-covered Camaro sitting on a lot somewhere in Detroit. Was it the new Z/28? Maybe another Trans Am concept? Could we be seeing some kind of extraterrestrial vehicle? Ok, not so much on the last one.
The car was revealed to be the Firebreather, for the upcoming action epic Jinn.
Jalopnik was on hand at the Detroit Autorama to snap some pictures of the unveiled Firebreather.

The film is being directed Ajmal Ahmad, who also designed the Firebreather alongside the folks at
Classic Design Concepts. Now that we have a good, uncovered view of the car, it is easy to see that it was heavily influenced by the styling cues of the Trans Am. Even the Firebreather logo on the front fascia bears more than a passing resemblance to the flaming chicken from days of yore.
But the best news is that, should you so be inclined, you can actually own one of these Firebreathers. Fifty exact copies of the hero car will be made at the price of about $60,000 each. We assume these are Camaro SS’s, and in addition to the body kit and new wheels it also comes with an
Eibach suspension kit and embroidered interior. Not a bad haul, and some very good publicity for the movie, which starts shooting in the coming weeks.
