Pedders Single and Double Adjustable Camaro Coilovers

If you have been around the internet at all and follow 2010 Camaro builds, you have no doubt seen the Pedders Camaro. They have managed to get an extremely impressive 1.38 lateral Gs out of their Camaro with not much more than their coilovers and sway bars for suspension. The key of any suspension is the coilovers and Pedders does a great job of doing it right.





The first item you will notice is the fully threaded body. This allows you to adjust your primary ride height from the shock body itself and not by adjusting the spring perch. This keeps the spring from being too compressed and not operating at its proper spring rate. Next is the easy to adjust dampening for both the front and rear coilovers. They are 30 position rebound adjustable with a noticeable ‘click’ per turn and if you opt for the externally adjustable rebound versions, you get 30 clicks there. Getting the compression and rebound adjustable versions will really allow you to use these shocks for about any form of racing you need. The front spring rate is 8 kg/mm while the rear is 10 kg/mm, though if you factor the rear suspension geometry of the Camaro into the equation, it really ends up being an even 8/8 kg/mm split.
