Someone on YouTube thought it would be a good idea to post a video of themselves having a good time on the job. Reportedly, the person in the video below is a security guard at one of the nation's biggest auto auctioneers.
As you'll see, he took the time to set up a video camera and then grabbed a Corvette for a little joyride. Obviously pumped by the end, the guard's face is clearly recognizable in his triumph. Apparently, common sense set in somewhat later and he removed the video.
Too late. Someone else had already downloaded the production and re-posted it when the original disappeared. Such is the nature of "viral" propagation. The guard may yet have another lesson to learn as quite a bit of contact information has been provided, including supervisory contacts at the auction site.
This incident reminds us of the flight attendant that ended his career by speaking his mind and then jumping out the door of the airplane. We're not so sure, however, that this particular career-ending move is going to turn the perpetrator into a cult hero. When you're beating on someone's $100K ZR1 Corvette, there's not a lot of sympathy to go around.
