There is nothing better than a high powered muscle car that comes with black paint from the factory. Its sleek, shinny, and the dark color makes it look mean and mysterious. The only draw back of having a black muscle car is they are a dime a dozen. Everywhere you turn there is a black car.

An owner over at ls1.com wanted to break the molds of having a cookie cutter car. He took his Trans Am WS6, and converted the color to be more of a standout - reveling the true beauty and curves of his Pontiac.
When painting a car there is a lot of preparation getting the car ready for paint. They had to remove some small parts that would be hard to shoot with the paint gun while on the car. They removed the rear high spoiler, mirrors and headlight covers. The hood remained on the car. Next, everything was taped off that they didn’t want painted including the brake rotors, windows, and engine bay.
Everything then was sanded down scuffing up the paint so the primer would stick. The car was shot with a white primer and then sanded again for any impurities. The painter then mixed up some metallic copper base coat that had a came out to a greenish gold color. For the top coat the owner went with a cooper kandy color that would really pop in the sunlight. They used eight coats of candy paint, the more coats you spray the darker it gets. Wrapping it up they sprayed on some clear coat, and did some final wet sanding.
The car was painted start to finish in seven days and looks amazing. The paint is complimented with some 19” chrome wheels. The kandy cooper is for sure a very unique color and will turn lots of heads.
